I have always loved working with animals and have done so since leaving school, when I worked part-time at a boarding kennels. I then started working at a practice in Kidsgrove, going to college to do my first year in vet nursing, but found that I was happier as a receptionist. I was promoted to Head Receptionist during this job, and ended up staying for 10 years. After leaving, I decided on a career-break from the veterinary profession and worked at a private human hospital, but I missed the interaction with the animals.
I started working at CVC in August 2011, as a part-time receptionist. As the practice has grown I have taken on more of the administration roles in the office, and now work full-time as the Practice Administrator, of which I am very proud. (I do still creep out to reception on occasion, though, whenever the lovely Helen or Chloe are away!). I love working at CVC as we have such lovely clients and pets, as well as a lovely team to work with.
I own a rescue Labrador called Wesley who is very spoilt. After all - he is my baby!
My interests and hobbies outside of work are spending time with the family and going away in our caravan to the seaside (Wesley loves the beach!).
