I gained a BSc in Animal nutrition and physiology at Leeds University before graduating as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2010 from the University of Queensland Australia. I joined the CVC team in June 2015, however am currently on maternity leave until the new year.
Having moved from a senior vet position at my previous practice, it is nice being part of the larger team at CVC. Everyone at Congleton is very friendly, the clinic is modern and full of state of the art equipment, which means we can provide the very best in patient care. The staff are highly trained and continued professional development is actively encouraged within the practice to ensure we are providing the most up to date treatment for our patients. This is so important to me as I always strive to provide the best care, and I am confident that all my colleagues do so too.
I am particularly interested in surgery and hope to broaden my knowledge and expertise by working towards a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in the near future.
I have a dog named Tim and a cat called Monty, both of whom are rescue pets. I also have a horse called Lassiter, who I brought back from Australia with me when I returned in 2011.
I am a member of the Newcastle Triathlon Club and regularly compete in triathlons in order to keep fit. I also compete in eventing competitions with Lassiter. It can be hard balancing a full time job and training but I do enjoy the busy lifestyle. I got married in April 2016, and it was a good day out for the whole practice team!
