Kate Barnes BVSc MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2020 and have worked in first opinion small animal practice ever since. I joined CVC in October 2024 and I am enjoying getting to know lots of new clients and all of your furry friends.

My passion lies in surgery and I am working towards a post-graduate certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, with a designated focus on small animal surgery - including soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics and laparoscopy (keyhole surgery). We are a busy practice and every day brings something different which I thrive upon. Working within an enthusiastic team where we all have the interest of your pets at the forefront of decision making, means we can provide the best possible care to your pets.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new walks with my whippet, called Fennel. I am also a keen runner, having completed my first marathon this year and I am a regular attender at parkrun. I have recently moved house and I am enjoying planning and creating a new garden there, alongside enjoying baking and seeing friends and family.
